I just want to be sure....

When the saxes come in, are there 3 of them or 2? They all blend in so smoothly! Like everyone said though, that drumming sound in the beginning annoys much, but eh. What can you do right?

Stavier responds:

Yeah, with the old program I use to use when I made this, the compressing & equalizing was kinda hard so whenever I add bass to a song, sometimes it makes it kinda not compressed. At 2:51, that's when all 3 saxophones come in. Thanx for the review!!!

Hehe.......

No story this time (unfortunately. =) But there is something I want to say.

Remember that link I told you about? "Rainy Mood"? Yeah........that works with this song too. Open up to tabs of the rain, listen to this piece, and you will be mesmerized!

I loved that link! Thank you again for sharing that with me. And thanks for this review! :D

Loved the piece and I noticed something.......

You probably don't notice it, but from 1: 58 to around 3:00, the melody that was coming from the violins almost sounded like requiem of a dream! You might not think it, but listen to it closely, then you'll see what I mean. Overall, great effort. Keep it up!

Thanks for the review man.

Yeah my string spiccato section sounds a bit like that song. I had made that section of the melody a while back when I was less experienced with music theory and I had tended to borrow ideas from other songs (Not copy other songs, just use them as inspiration). That melody has stuck with my cinematic scores because I found it made them feel strong and intense.

Not much to write a story, but here I go.......

A young boy is playing on the front porch of his house, which is out in the Great Plains. He's happily flocking as if his own home was his little utopia. Then, he decides to venture a bit away from his home, in search of some sort of adventure. He enters a dense forest and begins his skirmish.

As he keeps running, he feels as though he is traveling like the speed of wind. For a split-second, he thought he saw the air shift in front of him. But he kept running, faster and faster. Strangely, he wasn't losing his breath.

Now, the boy is sprinting so swiftly that the trees are literally swaying. It was as if the young boy was creating a small storm. This event occurs for hours until finally, a raging, yet non threatening tornado forms. The boy returns to his home, excited from his small trip in the forest. As he looks back, everything was as if the storm was never there. For a second, the boy thought he was actually "grasping the wind..." He enters his home, back into his normal life........

*Phew* Wow! Didn't that i'd do it! My friend, you inspire me to do these kinds of things. Keep it up!

I love this story because in part because it is such a dramatic shift from what I and most others have envisioned! The general feelings has been one of meloncholy, and yet you have made a story which draws from wonder, curiosity, innocence, and exhilaration. That change of pace brings refreshment. :)

Your short story brings me a vivid stimulation of the senses. I can put myself in the shoes of the young boy and feel the air sifting through me hair as well as the adrenaline pumping through my vains. The excitement and wonder builds as seemingly impossible developments take place, but I enjoy the flow and run faster.

Thanks for the inspiring review, TrueWolf!

Once upon a time.....lol

"A murderer has just committed one of the worst crimes in the nation's history.......4 dead, 1 mortally wounded. What's worse, he slipped away without a trace.

Now, an experienced detective is assigned to the case. This is one of his worst jobs he has ever encountered, even though he used to be a criminal mastermind himself.

As he looks through the file, he is in a deep train of thought: what type of murderer is this; what was the motive; is there a possibility it will happen again? Minutes turns to hours............. and finally, a thought occurred to him.

He used to train others to commit this particular crime. Mass murdering in its prime. But he recalls it was 10 years ago, and it has ceased to exist. Does that mean one of his own students could be the perpetrator?

As he realizes this, he rises from his desk, gather his belongings, and leaves the office, in search for the killer......."

Not bad huh? Though I'm not sure if that story can relate to this piece. But kudos to you! Writing these stories based on music is so much fun!

BlazingDragon responds:

That's awesome! It's an interesting plot device that the detective should be an ex-murderer. I wonder what turned him from his old ways? Did he never get caught himself? This could make for a cool anime episode, especially with there being the possibility of an old student committing the crime. :)

Thanks for the review!

I remember this.

Gives you that feeling where something important is about to happen, like in an epic movie. Now that I mention it, this is perfect! Kudos to you!

Time for another bedtime story.......

In the land of Loc Lac,(Monster Hunter reference. :D) hunters from all around the world gather at the bard to drink their heart out sign up for challenging tasks, or forge new weapons to aid them in the battle ahead. The noise levels are ridiculously loud, yet there is no havoc. Just a bustling city that makes its riches off of the hunters' finds. They see a Dragonship appear and the crowd grow silent. "The party is back...." mumbles one hunter. They all wonder if they succeeded in the mysterious quest or failed. As the Dragonship lands, the anticipation grows. The party steps into the bard, and only the sound of clinking glass was heard........ The leader of the group drops a strange bag full of items. "So....anyone up for a festival?"
The crowd gets into an uproar of applause, since this had meant the party had defeated the most notorious beast in Loc Lac, the Jhen Mohran. Now that the beast was destroyed, a festival can take place in celebration for the party's triumphant return. And so, the festival was named "The Festival of Fear".

Hmm..

The peddler wanders the street with slight despair in his heart. He walks into a bar, where silence lurks around as all of the customers look toward the door. With no word, he continues inward toward the counter. The bartender looks somewhat frightened not knowing his name. He sits down at the booth, and one of the bigger men approach him, intimidated by his appearance. The man asks for the peddlers name, but no answer. He asks again. No reply. Now the buff man is getting angry and tries to punch the peddler. However, the strike looked like as if it past right by the peddler. The peddler had dodge the attack!

This was no ordinary peddler, the man thought. Suddenly, he lunged at the peddler. The humble man notices this, and lashes out with a full force kick to the groin. The man didnt stand a chance. Promptly, the peddler leaves the bar, and into the shadows of the streets, without a trace......

Sounds good, eh? Great piece by the way.
