Reason I said that was cause....I mean it's pretty good music. It helps you think clearly while you'r doing chores, working on projects, or just to relax and think. Don't you agree?
You dont have to do this, but if you can, try to listen to at least one jazz piece a day for 1 month. Doesnt matter who it is thats playing: your favorite artist or the guy down the street (hey he can be the next John Coltrane. Who knows? Ever seen the movie the Soloist?)
Anyway, whenever you guys do this, just reply back and tell me how it helps you in ur daily life. Any comment is necessary............except the stupid ones that say stuff like "I hate jazz!"
Ok I respect that, but keep the nasty ones to urself. Positive comments are appreciated.....
(I suck at news posts.............plz dont judge me.)

I listen to Hiromi. Her piece 'Place to Be' is so passionate...

Whenever I listen, this overwhelming sense of nostalgia washes over me. A sort of subdued tranquility comes across on one hand but immense longing and melancholic ache on the other. My soul feels like weeping. True artistry.

My friend......you and me must be great friends, cause I teared up a little when she played. There was no words to describe it! It was just beauty and artistry mixed together, a bit of improvisition, and full of heart and soul.
That, right there, is the key to true success in the musical world. I welcome all different kinds of music. It inspires to work harder and sound as serene as Hiromi. Trust me, it's hard to play on sax with heart like that! That's why I practice almost 16 hours a day! (Heh, sounds like Charlie Parker.) But remember: never stop playing your instrument.
Of course, you already kno that God has given you a gift: the piano. Truthfully, I want to play as good as you and as good as Hiromi. In other words, I try to be well-rounded in all instruments. All I need to know is trumpet, piano, guitar, Saxophone, trombone, and possible others I forgot to mention.
Again, thank you for this masterpiece!
P.S. oh yes that book I mentioned......um.............not actually a book. A short story. But hey! Better than nothing!
